An IoT controller is the edge device that interfaces physical field equipment — digital inputs, relay outputs, 4–20 mA and 0–10 V analog signals, PT100 RTD probes and RS485 serial buses — and backhauls that data over LoRaWAN or cellular to a network server. Across this Milesight range, AU915 (915–928 MHz) operation falls under the ACMA Radiocommunications (Low Interference Potential Devices) Class Licence, so no individual spectrum licence is required to deploy. Each Milesight IoT controller integrates with existing industrial control systems through open Modbus RTU and standard LoRaWAN, avoiding proprietary lock-in. The range splits cleanly by job: meter and sensor acquisition (UC100, UC300), valve actuation (UC51X), and rugged off-grid telemetry (UC501, UC502).
